The Darkest Women Ever
Crime has no gender, and history proves that some of the most cunning, ruthless, and dangerous criminals were women. While society often views women as nurturing and protective, these notorious figures shattered that perception with their brutal actions. From serial killers to powerful crime lords, these women committed some of history’s most horrifying crimes.
Let’s explore the most dangerous female criminals who left a lasting impact on history.
1. Elizabeth Báthory – The Blood Countess
📍 Country: Hungary (1560–1614)
Elizabeth Báthory is infamous for being one of the most prolific female murderers in history. A Hungarian noblewoman, she allegedly tortured and killed hundreds of young girls, believing that bathing in their blood would preserve her youth. Though evidence against her remains debated, her crimes earned her the title of The Blood Countess.
Her brutal reign ended in 1610 when she was arrested and confined to a room in her castle until her death.

5. Irma Grese – The Angel of Death
📍 Country: Germany (1923–1945)
Irma Grese was a Nazi concentration camp guard during World War II. She was known for her brutal treatment of prisoners, especially at Auschwitz and Ravensbrück. Survivors recounted her extreme cruelty, including beatings, torture, and direct involvement in executions.
After the war, Grese was captured and sentenced to death. At 22, she became one of the youngest women executed for war crimes.
